Becki Luff

Newport Music Club are thrilled to welcome harpist Becki Luff back to Newport for a solo harp recital.

Becki graduated with a Masters from The Royal Northern College of Music in 2018 under the tuition of Eira Lynn Jones, and performs regularly as a soloist and chamber performer. Passionate about working alongside composers to develop new music for the harp, Becki’s standout experiences include performing the work of Tansy Davies at The Wigmore Hall and premiering Amir Konjani’s Anima Projection.

Drawing on folk elements from her Welsh and Irish background, as well as her passion for contemporary classical music, Becki uses these to create immersive and ambient soundscapes. Her music utilises electronic textures alongside the natural sounds of harp and voice. Becki loves to write in response to nature, often including her own field recordings, which are woven into the music.
