Biography and programme

The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Saxophone Ensemble are delighted to return to Cosy Hall for an extravaganza of music from the Rennaissance to the modern day.

The whole family of saxophones will be in full force with music by Gabriel Gabrieli, Maurice Ravel, Katia Beaugeais and South African giants of saxophone music Clare Loveday and Arthur Feder.

They will be joined by Stafford's super-talent Chris Gumbley as guest saxophonist and composer.

The ensemble regularly perform as part of the contemporary music series 'Frontiers' and have presented educational concerts as part of the conservatoire's chamber music festival
