Newport Music Club Helping Youngsters Into Music

You might not know it, but world class musicians appear regularly at Cosy Hall, Newport. The Newport Music Club organises six concerts a year, working with charities to bring nationally and internationally acclaimed and award winning artists to play classical music and jazz.

Pianists, saxophonists, bassoon players; all appear regularly and provide the kind of beautiful sounds that bring you the benefits to listening to classical music. These include reducing stress levels, boosting brain power and improving your quality of sleep.

To ensure that local children and young people can easily access these benefits, the Music Club have some special offers this season. Students (including the under 18's) can attend all six concerts for just £10.

Taster sessions are also being offered, where a child or student can bring an accompanying adult to a single concert for just £8 for the two of them! These concerts take place in a relaxed, child friendly atmosphere so don't worry if the child needs to move around.

The concerts start on Saturday 21 September 2019, at 7.30, with the jazz concert by Much Ado About Jazz.  On Saturday 19 October at 7.30 The Galeazzi Ensemble bring us period instruments - flute, violin, viola and cello. Playing seven very varied short pieces, this concert would give young people a good introduction to the delights of classical music.
